Our website uses functions of the LinkedIn network. Provider: LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("LinkedIn").
To enhance the protection of your data when you visit our website, LinkedIn plugins are not fully integrated but are embedded using an HTML link ("Shariff" solution by c’t magazine). Newsletter

If you have expressly consented, we will send our newsletter to your email address on a regular basis. To receive the newsletter, you must provide us with your email address and confirm it. No additional data is collected unless voluntarily provided. Your data is used exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter.
The data provided when registering for the newsletter is processed based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. A simple notification via email or using the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter is sufficient. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Data provided during newsletter registration will be deleted upon unsubscribing. If this data was transmitted to us for other purposes, it will remain stored.

Contacting Us

If you contact us (including via email), your transmitted data, including contact information, will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for potential follow-up questions. This data will not be shared without your consent.
Processing is based solely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an informal message via email. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
The data you provide will remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – especially retention periods – remain unaffected.

Use and Disclosure of Data

We do not sell or otherwise market your personal data (e.g. name, address, or email address) shared with us via email. Your data will only be used for the purpose for which you provided it and to correspond with you.
This also includes data processing in the context of protected access to conference documents via our platform (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint). Processing is carried out for authentication purposes, documentation of downloads, and the ability to provide you with topic-related information and offers via email afterwards.
The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract/contract initiation) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in access control and direct marketing to existing customers under § 7(3) UWG). You may object to the use of your data for advertising at any time.
We use services of Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. (Microsoft 365 SharePoint) for technical provision, under a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Data is stored exclusively within the EU in compliance with the EU Data Boundary.
For payment processing, your payment data will be shared with the credit institution tasked with the payment.
Data automatically collected when visiting our website will be used solely for the aforementioned purposes. No other use or transfer of data occurs.
We assure you that we will not share your personal data with third parties unless legally required or you have given prior consent.
